I kid you not, in 21 years of having the privilege of being involved in this wonderful job, there is a first time for everything……………….
We had a visitor early this morning, the Hlaba Nkunzi female Leopard, Makwela’s daughter from her last litter, strolled into Camp for a good look around!!
First she went off to Room 5 to have a drink out of the plunge pool.
Then she wandered down the path past Room 3, all the way to the gym.
And finally she went into the gym and had a quick workout on the Treadmill.
All this before the game drives even left the carpark, I think there are very few places that can boast an escapade like this, and get the pictures to prove it.
I suppose we shouldnât be surprised, after all she grew up here and was often left in Camp when her mother went off hunting.
I guess just another reason we can be comfortable in calling this piece of paradise “Leopard Hills”!!
Thanks to Gary for the pics, what a morning!!
The picture in the gym is so funny….well done Gary for capturing the moment…..another good reason to give up visiting the gym, could be bad for your health!
Oh wow… Lou, I agree with you on that one!
i wish ian and i could be with you seeing thESE marvellous things, in stead of Ian doing an exhibition at the Gateway in Umhlanga and me doing accounts and our tax. HOW BORING.
I am so envious. Love and Best wishes,
Ian and Liz van Zyl.
I love these e-mails and pictures. I wish I could have been there but I would have just run around screaming in fear!
