Last night the Selati Male Lions came across the Hippo Carcass washed up on the shore.
Following Dave’s amazing article on the “Mortal Battle of the Bulls“, and I’m not talking Rugby, Gary and his Guests were treated to an amazing sighting of the Selati Male Lions feeding on the Carcass of the Hippo that died as a result of his injuries sustained in the ferocious battle.
Gary managed to capture some incredible footage of two of the Male Lions feeding, while the inquisitiveness of the other Hippo’s in the water hole became apparent, as they came within a few feet of the feeding Lions!!

Amazing footage. Thanks.
Incredible sighting….
Truly amazing footage. What a treat for your guests! Gary, have not seen any postings of yours in a very long time. Thought you had fallen off the face of the earth. Glad to know all is well at LH. 2013 can’t arrive fast enough for us in CA and our projected return to SA and LH. Joy
PS: Our fondest regards to Raymond.
