There is a small pan about 400 meters from camp and I have spent a few afternoons photographing the various animals coming down to drink.
Over the weekend I headed down to the pan for some photography. I normally arrive about an hour before the sun goes down and just wait to see what I might capture. I was busy capturing a saddle-billed stork when suddenly Makwela female leopard arrived for a drink.
Yesterday afternoon I was busy photographing the beloved stork, when a warthog came down to wallow in the mud. Looking at the tracks around the pan there were also waterbuck, impala and a dazzle of zebra that came to quench their thirst.
Looking forward to some more stories and pictures from the "Tawny Eagle Pan Diaries".
Thanks for the posting and the pics, awesome.
I love Mr.Pumba – fantastic pictures – as always!
