It is with great sadness we say goodbye to Vanessa and Marius.
After six and a half years of dedicated service to Leopard Hills, we say goodbye to Vanessa and Marius as they move onto a new chapter in their lives.
We cannot say how much we appreciate all they have contributed to the Lodge over the years, and wish them great success in the future as they experience new horizons.
Not only have they been extremely dedicated colleagues over all these years, they have become very special friends to us, and it is never easy to say good bye. Marius has been given a wonderful opportunity to further his passion in Wild Life Photography and we know he will succeed greatly in this field. Vanessa and Marius will be leaving us in July.
We wish you both well in your future endeavors and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We wish you all the luck on your new venture. I have never met Marius but I remeber being on a game drive & we were at a sighting of a female leopard in a Marula Tree, visibility was excellent & we were practiaclly sitting right underneath her – Marius arrived with his guests & parked next to us…I have never seen anyone so excited about how perfect the entire setting was…The perfect animal, the perfect position & the perfect lighting to take some perfect photo’s he was quite comical – I am going to miss seeing your photo’s on the blog as they are truly beautiful & you have a real talent.

Marius was relatively new when we stayed for the second time at Leopard Hills (2005) but we knew that he was a star and tried to be with him on every game drive. He was fabulous in positioning us so we could get the best possible photos, and a kind and special person in every way. Duncan told us that he knew right away that Marius had a gift! My first safari was last October and thanks to Marius’ knowledge and enthusiasm i am now a keen photographer, hooked on safaris and hoping to come back to Leopard Hills next year. It will be a shame that you will not be there but i wish you and Vanessa well and look forward to hearing your news via your blog. Best Wishes Elaine
