The harsh realities of life and death in the African Bush.
Leopard Hills Ranger Raymond Mahatlani managed to capture this amazing footage out on drive with his Guests.
With the sudden influx of Impala Lambs, the Predators are finding them easy pickings, even “playing with their prey”, before the inevitable conclusion.
Harsh but nature.
Thank you Raymond for sharing this incredible footage.

This was a rather familiar script. We saw very similar behaviour in the Serengeti, where a cheetah was totally unconcerned with a baby Thomson’s gazelle, which huddled close for protection. (Its mother was already dead under a nearby bush) When the gazelle tried a few playful steps the cheetah immediately went into pursuit mode and zapped it. Our sighting was at a distance, but Raymond’s was obviously really close.
So sad, but thats nature
