Great news, the three Male Cheetah are still in the Western Sector of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve!
After seeing the 3 Male Cheetah for the first time a couple of afternoon’s ago, it’s great knowing they are still around.
They spent 2 days on a clearing not too far from the Lodge, keeping the Impala on their toes. The Cheetah then moved further west, to the new airstrip where we viewed them for qutie some time while they were stalking a couple of Impala. It was exciting viewing the 3 showing interest and approaching the Impala but never got close enough for their chase.
We left the Cheetah on the morning drive and heard they had caught an Impala during the afternoon, which was great news. The 3 young males seem to be relaxing into the new area and it will be interesting to see which direction they are going to head in, hopefully it won’t be too far and they’ll settle somewhere in the Western Sector of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve.
For now though, we are very privileged and spoilt to have three of the most incredible animals on our doorstep and offering us incredible viewing.
Fantastic to see that they eventually ‘finished what they started’ Heinrich – Thank you for guiding us so wellthat morning and allowing us such great viewing in the clear of the runway, hope to see you soon.
Morning Ailsa, thanks very much for the kind words, it was great viewing that morning and glad they made caught an impala during the afternoon. Unfortunately the 3 males have crossed the sand river to the north and headed back east, hoping they’ll be back soon!
