I’m not an experienced Tracker, and I know I still have much to learn, but they sure look more like Lion than Hyena to me, or perhaps I should put more water with it !! 🙂
Nick, your observations are spot on… No need for more water… 😉
I think Stucass accidentally added the wrong video from the public Video folder. This was an older clip which I uploaded in the early days of the weblog.
Stucass, thanks for making the effort to share your video with everyone. Please note that you uploaded an AVI video file, which will not play on the Flash Video player built into the weblog. I have converted your video to a FLV for you and uploaded it into your personal folder. Please just confirm that this is the video you intended to add to your article.

PS: I almost forgot to welcome you to the Leopard Hills weblog and congratulate you on your first post. Thanks for the great piece of footage. We look forward to seeing more from you…
For one, I am seriously impressed with a first time attempt at posting a video onto the blog, not easy and seems a bit daunting at fist.
Please stick with it, as we would love to see some more of your video footage.
The footage above was taken at one of our two active Hyeana den sites, you can see a black pup emerging from the left hand side of the burrow, and the other one situated just above the entranced to the left, the adult female Hyeana to the right of the entranced has her head facing down the borrow, this is probably what is causing the confusion.
Thanks Stuart for the posting, much appreciated.
