Close encounters the Leopard Hills way

Posted on April 17, 2010

Some great footage that epitomizes the incredible experience our Guests encounter while out on Safari at Leopard Hills.

Many thanks to David and Tania Jackson for putting these videos together for us, and sharing their Safari experience.

In the first video clip, notice how the older Lion Cub tried to bully the smaller one and how quickly the mother steps in and admonishes the older one.

In the second video clip, one of the resident dominant Male Lions walks on patrol, hardly giving the Game Drive vehicle a second glance as he ambles by, a truly amazing experience for all on board.

The last video clip epitomizes how privileged we are to be able to witness the spectacle of nature at close quarters.

  1. Thank you David and Tania, very much appreciated. The second clip truly demonstrates the incentive for the trackers to hone their wider skills and become a ranger – i.e. (seated behind the wheel instead of being point man out front)

  2. David and Tania, again thank you for sharing your wonderful experiences, you certainly were treated to some pretty spectacular sightings. Lion cubs are just so special to witness and I see the Mapogo male gave you all an upward glance … bet your heart hit your stomach!! I am sure you had a truly memorable time.

  3. WOW, thanks for sharing, and all I can say is OMG…truly amazing. Wish I were there right now!

  4. Wow! Terrific, thanks for sharing. I can’t wait to come back to Leopard Hills & can only hope we are as lucky as you were. Thanks again!
